Over the last eleven years dp motorsport has consistently produced some of the fastest modified road cars which have been featured in many of the leading performance car magazines and have taken the honours at various Motorsport events.

Founder of the company is Dave Perry who has always been a man who liked to be the fastest. FULL STOP. His motor sport career began in 1980, driving both MK1 and MK2 Escorts in road rallying. Followed in 1983 with a season of production motorcycle racing, riding a 350cc Yamaha LC. After a brief spell with motorcycles, Dave returned to car racing with a Porsche 930 (911 Turbo) in the P.C.G.B production car series in 1989.
1990 saw a new car in the Porsche Modified Championship, a lightweight 3.0L RS replica with a 400bhp engine. It was to be so successful that it was banned from its class for having the wrong colour interior!
The beginning of 1991 witnessed the creation of a Class 1 monster based on the 1975 sports prototype Porsche Le Mans car. This time It ran in a class with no rules that it could fall foul of. During this season the car won every race it entered and totally dominated the Porsche sports race of champions. Dave, never one to sit still, then decided to turn his hand to various hill climbs and sprint events, and won numerous events in a range of race cars.
1998 saw dp motorsport first visit to the Santa Pod drag strip. With a Nissan Gti-r cars running in the 11's and Dave the fastest street legal car in a Highly modified Porsche 911 Turbo . In 1999 dpmotorsport went back to the same event with a range of cars including an Evo 4, and a GTiR and Dave's baby his Cosworth powered Mk1Escort.
At Santa Pod in 2000, dp motorsport arrived with what was one of their most impressive collections of cars to date - totalling 4000+ bhp. The cars ready to sprint down the strip included 944 turbo's, Nissan GTi-R's, a pair of Evo's, a Supra twin turbo, a Subaru Impreza STi, a Lancia Integrale and a Porsche 911 turbo.
2002 onward dp have consistently produced the fastest Nissan Gti-rs at Ten of the Best and have won their class in the 2006 Porsche club Sprint and Hill climb championship
Nowadays, the company offers to weave it's magic on an ever expanding range of makes and models. Dave reckons that it the solid background in motor racing that sets dp motorsport apart

We reckon, however, that the knowledge and experience that dp motorsport offers to it's customers, really stems from the dp motorsport engineers desire to keep David winning anybody seen what he is like when he comes second..!
